santa ana criminal defense lawyerTwo Orange County brothers have been convicted of 15 counts of sex abuse each after pleading guilty to all charges.

Authorities say the brothers bribed the 3- and 7-year-old girls with candy and ice cream. The girls lived next door to Cristobal and Eduardo Rodriguez, two brothers in their late 30s. They will be sentenced in May and each face 50 years in prison. They will also have to register as sex offenders for life.

Investigators say the brothers molested the girls in a converted garage where they lived. They showed the girls pornographic images and had sex with them. One of the girls told a family member about the abuse in 2011, and the brothers were arrested.

In California, those who have been convicted of a sex crime have to register as sex offenders with a local law enforcement agency. They are required to update their information annually, or more often depending on their crime. Transient sex offenders must update every 30 days, and sexually violent predators must update their information every 90 days. They are also required to update within five days of a change of address.
